What is Newtraid© all about?

If you visited the Newtraid© site some time ago or volunteered you probably won't recognise the site - there have been major changes! These changes reflect the development of social networking sites during the recent past and a perceived need to have a more open approach to asking for and providing support for groups and communities. We don't want to just follow the latest fashion but believe that providing a service modelled on Social media sites we will able to provide a platform which can be used to help anybody make a real contribution.

Why Join?

There are many reasons for joining with Newtraid©, but most important is that someone, somewhere could be helped by the contribution of your skills and experience.

A major change from the old site is that the old definitions of Consultant and Client have disappeared and whether you are offering or needing support the joining process is the same. Need help, then join the relevant group and find others who can give you the help you need. More than likely you will also be able to share your knowledge and experience with someone in a similar situation

Want to use your skills to benefit communities - anywhere!  As with the old site joining with Newtraid© is one way you can use your skills to the benefit of others who find themselves in a "Catch 22" situation, requiring support to develop their enterprise but not being able to pay for any form of consultancy? Whatever your experience, provided it is based on sound practical knowledge and skills, someone, somewhere could benefit from your input. 

• Under utilised, between jobs, made redundant, retired early, senior citizen? Or just want to share your professional knowledge and experience.
• Need to keep your mind active as well as helping others and have a new challenge?
• Gain the satisfaction of working on worthwhile jobs which can sometimes be difficult as well as rewarding.

We want to tap into this vast pool of experience and knowledge which exists in all professions and trades in every country.

Offer your skills and experience!

We are looking for a variety of volunteers from almost all technical, managerial or manual skills and experience background. Newtraid© works on a voluntary basis and members give their time freely, and help is directed at those organisations that cannot afford to hire consultants at normal commercial rates, and support less developed communities by providing employment, improving social, health and environmental provision. 

The offer of support is given without regard to national boundaries, race or creed.

Volunteers are typically experienced professionals in technical elements of a wide range of disciplines. Many have experience in working in developing countries,  but it's almost certain that whatever your experience and knowledge, someone, somewhere needs your input. We are always looking for new volunteers to help to widen the scope of the support Newtraid© can offer.

The Newtraid© Vision

The vision remains the same but the route to it's achievement  is  completely new!

Gather groups of skilled and experienced volunteers who can freely give their knowledge and time to worthwhile causes and projects.

Provide support to any individual or organisation who has ideas that will benefit their local community. 

Provide an on-line meeting place where members can meet and share their knowledge, skills and experience.
