The Newtraid site is for the benefit of all, it will only grow and develop if:-

• You use the features it has to offer.
• Contribute your ideas for it's development.

The New Site

We have spent a lot of time converting the original site to to this one which is based on Joomla! an Open Source CMS (content management system). This will enable us rapidly update, add to, or delete content to reflect the wishes of the Newtraid community.

Key features 

At the moment these are:-

• Front Page. This contains all the basic information about Newtraid. It is planned to have this Front Page in many world languages in the not too distant future.
• An "About Newtraid " page with links to the key categories such as information about Volunteering and getting Support.
• You can search the Site and the Web from the Search box on the top of the page.
• World News is available, this links to the latest news from throughout the world. Please suggest changes to categories of News if you think the existing ones are inappropriate or  should be supplemented.
• Registration as a volunteer now uses the "Community Builder" system. The Volunteer module connects to the registration form.
• We have retained the Forum. The original site included a forum which was seldom used and we removed it.  Please use the new one! You can ask questions, give answers and make comments.
• You can access Newsletters and subscribe to these. Each newsletter will give you the opportunity to unsubscribe.
• The scrolling news will be kept up to date with Newtraid information.
• If you have or know of another Web site we can include it as a Guest Site, this gives the Guest increased exposure on the web and improves our Google rating.
• Useful Links does what it says. Please suggest other to us.

Finally, have a good look at the site and use what it has to offer!
